Croatia was the second leg of our trip and we traveled throughout the country by car, ferry and plane for about 2 weeks. We started off in Zagreb, the capital city in Northern Croatia. From there, we rented a car and drove down the interior to Plitvice Lakes natioanl park and stayed in a B&B. Driving in the Croatian countryside was a delight. From there, it was off to the coast, staying with a friends' parents' friends on a small island for one night, the island of Hvar for 3 nights and then a stay outside Croatia's most famous city, the walled fort of Dubrovnik.
